Friends can give collection items as gifts, provided that those collections have already been assembled, via G5 Friends.
To get a collection item, request it from a specific friend or from all of your friends. To do this, tap the Friends icon under an item from an already assembled collection. Choose a friend (or all friends) in the menu to make a request. Then tap the "Send Request" button.
