Match 3 mini-games feature special elements on the playing field:
- Yellow Tile
Covers a cell. To remove a yellow tile, match crystals on top of it. A yellow tile can have reinforcement, meaning it requires 2 matches to be destroyed. - Ice
Blocks a crystal. To remove ice, match crystals near it. Ice can only be removed by activating a bomb or lightning nearby. - Stone
Blocks a crystal. To remove stone, match crystals next to it twice. Stone can have reinforcement, meaning it requires either 2 matches or a bomb/lightning activation to be destroyed. - Chain
Blocks a crystal. To break a chain, make a match with the blocked crystal. A chain can have reinforcement, meaning it requires 2 matches to be destroyed. Supercrystals, bombs, and lightning can also break a chain or remove its reinforcement. - Glass
Crystals trapped under glass cannot move. You can make matches with them, as well as destroy them with lightning, bombs, or supercrystals. That doesn't remove glass, however. A crystal trapped under glass can drop down and regain the ability to move if the cell underneath it is empty. - Metal Plate
Blocks a cell. Can only be removed with a bomb or lightning. - Pearl
Moves like regular crystals, but you cannot make matches with it. A pearl can only be removed with a bomb or lightning. - Portal
A pair of cells, one of which is the entrance and the other is the exit. When the exit cell is empty, the crystal from the connected entrance cell drops into it. - Ice ball
Moves like regular crystals, but you cannot make matches with it. A pearl can only be removed with a bomb or lightning. Make matches near it to remove it. - Fog
Covers a cell, destroying its contents. To dispel the fog, make matches next to it.
If you do not dispel the fog, then the fog will cover one more cell after a few seconds (in limited-time levels) or after a move (in limited-move levels). - Conveyor
Moves the crystals in a given direction once per move (in move-based levels) or once every few seconds (in time-based levels). - Bag of Crystals
A special tile that blocks the cell. Inside the bag are crystals that randomly spill out onto the board when the bag is opened. Matching a combination near the bag will partially open it. Matching several combinations will open the bag completely.
